Bring artificial intelligence to life with the b.Board AI Add-On Kit! Designed to work with the b.Board Core Kit, this toolkit introduces learners to AI vision, robotics, and automation. Using the Smart AI Lens and kit components, students build intelligent projects that can see, detect, and respond to their surroundings. Through projects like colour sorters, emotion readers, and smart trash systems, they discover how AI models and motion combine to create purposeful, interactive designs.

Key Benefits:

  • Explore AI: See how technology can detect and react.
  • Build Smart Projects: Create inventions that see, think, and respond.
  • Experiment and Create: Try new ideas and watch how AI changes results.
  • Create with Purpose: Design projects that make life smarter or easier.

Please note: You will need the b.Board, micro:bit, and a screwdriver to use this Add-On Kit (these items are included in the b.Board Core Kit).

Pre-order by Dec 5 for mid-December delivery.

The b.Board AI Add-On Kit expands your b.Board learning experience into artificial intelligence, robotics, and automation. Designed to work with the b.Board Core Kit, it helps learners explore how machines can see, detect, and respond through creative, hands-on projects that combine coding, design, and intelligent control.

Suggested Grade Levels: Grades 6–12

Learning Focus

Learners explore artificial intelligence, robotics, and digital sensing through hands-on invention. Using the Smart AI Lens, sensors, and motion components, they build intelligent projects that can see, detect, and respond to their surroundings. Through creative builds like colour sorters, emotion readers, and smart waste systems, they discover how coding, AI models, and design thinking combine to create interactive, purposeful technology.

Skill Development

Learners progress from simple recognition and motion activities to multi-component systems that interpret data and make decisions. They experiment with detection, classification, and automation, gaining a deeper understanding of how AI processes information, adapts to inputs, and brings intelligent ideas to life.

STEAM Learning Outcomes

  • Science: Explore perception and data using AI vision.
  • Technology: Apply coding, automation, and computer vision.
  • Engineering: Build and refine intelligent, responsive prototypes.
  • Arts: Design expressive and interactive creations.
  • Mathematics: Use logic, sequencing, and data patterns to guide AI decisions.

Connected UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
